How a dummy ticket for family or group orders works
A family order is one reservation for several people: the same flights, the same dates and every name on one itinerary. It is made in the airline's reservation system and held without paying the fare, exactly like a single passenger's reservation. It is not a paid ticket and cannot be used to board.
On the order form, you fill in one passenger block for the first traveller, then press "Add another passenger" for each of the others. The flight details (one-way, return or multi-city) are entered once and apply to everyone. The fare summary updates as you add people, so you see the family's total before you pay. Collect every passport first
Adults, children and infants all go on the order. Copy names from the printed page of each passport, not from memory or an old booking.
Agree one route and one set of dates
Everyone on the order flies on the same itinerary. If one person leaves later or goes elsewhere, that person needs a separate order.
Use the notes box for anything unusual
Write which passengers are children or infants, and any preferred airline, in the "Anything we should know?" box. A preferred airline is a request, not a promise.
Pick the delivery date
The form asks "When do you want to receive it?". Choose the day before your appointment; the reservation is issued on that date.
Price for 2 to 9 passengers
A family order costs ₹699 per passenger, one-way or return, with no family discount and no bulk rate. Multiply the number of travellers by ₹699. A hotel voucher adds ₹699 per hotel, per passenger, so a flight plus one hotel is ₹1,398 per person.

Outside India the order is charged in US dollars through PayPal or card, about US$8.50 per passenger, so the dollar column is an estimate. Children and infants: what to enter
Enter a child or an infant exactly as you would an adult: full name, date of birth and nationality, copied from their own passport. We do not ask for a passport scan. Each child is a passenger on the order and is charged ₹699 like everyone else.
A child's name on the reservation should match the passport letter for letter. Nicknames, a shortened surname or a name spelled the way the family usually writes it will not match the visa form.
Airlines book infants differently from older children and adults, and each airline sets its own age limit for an infant. We cannot give one cut-off, because the booking desk chooses the airline for your route. So always write in the notes box which passengers are infants, with their dates of birth, so the booking desk knows before it books.
A common situation: a parent types a child's date of birth from memory and it differs from the passport by a day. Check each date against the passport before you pay, because orders are final once the reservation is issued.
One itinerary or separate orders
Use one itinerary when the whole family applies for the same country and flies together on the same dates. Switzerland's tourist checklist for applicants in India, for example, asks for a flight reservation "With names of all travelers", and one family itinerary does exactly that. Other consulates word their checklists differently, so read your own before you order; the Schengen visa page has the wider document list.

Say two parents and a son fly Delhi to Zurich on 12 October and back on 26 October, while the daughter joins them on 15 October. The parents and son go on one order (₹2,097). The daughter needs her own order (₹699) with her own outbound date, so that each file shows the dates that person will actually travel.
The reservation shows who travels, not who pays. If one parent is funding the trip for everyone, that belongs in the bank statements and a sponsorship letter, not on the itinerary.
When one family member already holds a visa
A family member who already holds a valid visa for the trip does not need a flight reservation for their own file, because they are not applying. Only the people applying must submit one.
If that person is travelling with you, you can still keep them on the family itinerary. The applicants' reservation then shows the whole party on the same flights, which matches a cover letter that says "I am travelling with my husband, who holds a valid visa". Leaving them off saves ₹699; keeping them on keeps the file consistent. Either is your choice.
Before you rely on the existing visa, check two things on the visa itself: that it is still valid on your return date, and that it allows another entry. A single-entry visa already used on an earlier trip will not cover this one. We cannot confirm either point for you; the visa sticker and the issuing consulate can.
Adding hotel bookings for the family
A hotel reservation voucher costs ₹699 per hotel, per passenger, for the city and check-in and check-out dates you enter on the form. Checklist before you order for the family
- Every traveller who flies together is on the same order, up to 9 people

Is there a family or group discount?
No. Every passenger you add on the order form is charged ₹699, so the total is ₹699 multiplied by the number of travellers, from a couple (₹1,398) to the 9-passenger limit (₹6,291). There is no separate family rate. The price list shows multi-city and hotel combinations.
Should each family member submit their own copy?
If the checklist asks each applicant for a full set of documents, yes: put a copy of the same itinerary in each person's file, including each child's. Because the itinerary lists everyone, it also shows the consulate that you are travelling together, which should match what your cover letter says.
Can friends or colleagues book as a group?
Yes. The 9-passenger limit and the ₹699-per-passenger price apply to any group, not only relatives. Everyone on one order shares the same route and dates, so friends who fly out on different days, or to different countries, need separate orders. Give each person's details exactly as in their passport.
Can I add a family member after ordering?
