What you receive is a reservation held in the airline's system without paying the fare. It is not a paid ticket and cannot be used to board a flight, and the form asks you to confirm that you understand this before it will submit.
For UK, US, Canadian and Australian visitor visas a flight booking is generally not a required document, and the UK Home Office lists flight bookings among evidence that is "less useful". A few rules ask for a paid ticket instead: Immigration New Zealand says onward tickets "must be paid for before your travel", and a held reservation does not meet that wording. What to have ready before you start
You need the passport details of every traveller, your route and dates, and a phone number and email address. Nothing is uploaded and no account is created. You type each detail, and the reservation is made from exactly what you type.

How to book a dummy ticket: the five steps of the form
The booking page has five numbered steps. Beside them, a fare summary counts passengers, flights and hotels and updates the total as you fill in the form.
Step 1: Passenger details
For each traveller, choose a title and enter the first name, last name, date of birth and nationality. Everything in the passport's given-name field goes under "First name", and the surname field goes under "Last name". Both boxes are required, so if your passport shows only one name, message WhatsApp before you order and ask how to enter it. Use "Add another passenger" for each extra traveller.
Step 2: Contact details
Enter a mobile number with the country code (+91 for India) and an email address. When you submit the form, an email marked "payment pending", with your order ID and the amount due, is sent to that address, so use an inbox you can open on your phone.
Step 3: Flight details
Choose One way, Return or Multi-city. Type a city or airport in the From and To boxes and pick it from the list, then add the date. A one-way reservation needs one date, and a return reservation adds a return date on the same route. For a multi-city itinerary, use "Add another flight" for each leg, up to 12 flights. Dates go in year first, so a flight on 14 November 2026 is 2026-11-14.
Step 4: Hotel booking (optional)
Click "Add a hotel" and enter the city, the check-in date and the check-out date. Each hotel adds ₹699 per passenger. Step 5: Purpose and delivery
Pick the purpose that fits, such as Visa Application, Schengen Visa File, Proof of Onward / Return Travel, Visa Extension or Parents / Family Visit Proof, so the desk knows what the document is for. Answer "When do you want to receive it?" with the date the reservation should be issued, and choose Email or WhatsApp for delivery. The notes box takes anything else, such as your appointment date or a preferred airline, which is a request rather than a promise. Last, tick the box that accepts the terms and conditions and privacy policy and confirms this is a reservation for documentation, not a paid airline ticket.
Paying by UPI, PayPal or card
Click "Proceed to payment" and the payment screen opens with your order ID and the total in rupees. Customers in India pay by UPI. Everyone else pays by PayPal, or by debit or credit card through PayPal's card checkout, which needs no PayPal account. PayPal and card payments are charged in US dollars, about US$8.50 per passenger.

The UPI QR code already carries the exact total, so you scan it with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or any UPI app and approve the payment. If you are ordering on the same phone that shows the code, tap "Save QR" and open the saved image from your UPI app's scanner, or copy the UPI ID shown under the code, pay the exact total and put your order ID in the payment note. Send your UPI screenshot on WhatsApp
After a UPI payment, send a screenshot of the successful payment on WhatsApp. That is how the booking desk matches your money to your order and starts the reservation. On the payment screen, tap "I've paid". The next page has a "Send payment screenshot" button that opens WhatsApp with your order ID and the amount already typed, so you only attach the screenshot and send.
Use a screenshot that shows the amount, the date and time, and the transaction ID from your UPI app. If you close the page by mistake, the "payment pending" email has a WhatsApp button too.
PayPal and card payments return you to the confirmation page with the PayPal transaction ID attached to your order, so the screenshot step is for UPI. If that page does not load after a PayPal or card payment, send your order ID on WhatsApp.
After payment: the reservation, the PDF and the PNR
Once the payment is confirmed, the booking desk creates the reservation in the airline's system with the names and dates from your form, and the PDF itinerary goes out by the method you chose. If your receiving date is today, that typically takes 10–20 minutes from confirmation. The terms describe 10–20 minutes as the aim during working hours and say delays can happen at weekends, on holidays and in busy periods, so leave a margin before an appointment. If you chose a later receiving date, the reservation is issued on that date.

The PDF carries a PNR, the booking reference. Before it goes into your file, look it up on the airline's Manage booking page with the PNR and a passenger's surname. How to verify your PNR walks through that check. How long a reservation stays live depends on the airline, which is why receiving it one day before you need it is the safer choice.
If your dates change or you spot a mistake
Message WhatsApp with your order ID as soon as you notice. If you chose a later receiving date and the reservation has not been issued yet, say so straight away, because the PDF is made from exactly what you typed. If the reservation has already been issued and your appointment or travel dates move, the desk will tell you the quickest way to get a reservation for the new dates. After the reservation has been issued, the order cannot be refunded or transferred to someone else. Check every name, date and route before you pay. The refund policy has the full terms.

Run through this list with your passport open next to the form.

Do I need to upload a passport scan to book a dummy ticket?
No. You type each passenger's name, date of birth and nationality as they appear in the passport. There is no upload and no account. What is the order ID and where do I find it?
It is the reference beginning with DTV that is created when you submit the form. It is shown at the top of the payment screen and in the "payment pending" email sent to the address you entered. Put it in the UPI payment note and in every WhatsApp message, so your payment and any request are matched to the right order.
What if I notice a mistake after I submit the form?
Message WhatsApp with your order ID straight away, before the reservation is issued if you can. The PDF is made from exactly what you typed, so a wrong letter in a name or a wrong date carries into the reservation. Once a reservation has been issued the order is final, which is why the check before payment matters.
