There is no dummy ticket office near you, because Dummy Tickets Visa (DTV) works only online. The reservation is made in the airline's own system and sent as a PDF, so it is the same whichever Indian city you order from: ₹699 per passenger, typically delivered 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed. What differs by city is the visa centre or consulate that takes your file.
- DTV has no office, branch or visa-centre desk anywhere in India; the order, the payment and the delivery all happen on your phone.
- A local travel agent can also arrange a reservation, but the agent sets the price and you order within their opening hours.
- Online, the price is ₹699 per passenger, one-way or return, and the PDF typically arrives 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed.
- Where you live decides your visa centre or consulate: a Kochi resident applying for Italy comes under the Consulate General in Mumbai, while Germany accepts applications at any VFS centre in India.
- Check the PNR on the airline's own website before you submit it, whoever made the reservation.

There is no dummy ticket office near you, and you do not need one. Dummy Tickets Visa (DTV) works online only: the booking desk makes your reservation in the airline's own reservation system and sends it to you as a PDF. So if you searched "dummy ticket near me", the answer is the same in a metro or a small town: the same reservation, the same ₹699 per passenger, ordered on your phone.
What does change with where you live is the visa application centre or consulate that takes your file. That depends on the country you are applying to and, for some countries, on the state you live in.
Why "dummy ticket near me" has the same answer in every city
Because the reservation is a record in the airline's computer system, not a paper you collect from a counter. It has a PNR (booking reference) that you, or anyone checking your file, can look up on the airline's "Manage booking" page, and that record looks the same whether the order came from Mumbai or from a town three states away.
DTV has no shopfront, branch or counter in any Indian city, and no desk inside any visa application centre. We are not affiliated with any embassy, consulate, visa centre or airline. The form, the payment and the delivery all happen on your phone or laptop, and the PDF arrives by WhatsApp or email.
Local travel agent or ordering online
Either can get you a flight reservation. An agent suits you if you want someone else to fill in the details or you want to pay in cash; ordering online gives you a fixed price and a PNR you check yourself on the airline's website.
| What matters | Local travel agent | Ordering online (DTV) |
|---|---|---|
| When you can order | The agent's opening hours | The form is open at any hour; delivery can take longer late at night, at weekends and on holidays |
| Getting there | A trip to the office, sometimes two | None |
| Price | Set by the agent, so ask before they book | ₹699 per passenger, one-way or return |
| How you pay | Cash, UPI or card, as the agent accepts | UPI QR in India; PayPal or card outside India |
| What you hand over | Whatever the agent asks for | Names as in the passport, date of birth, nationality, route and dates; no passport scan |
| Checking the result | Ask for the PNR and the airline, then check it yourself | Look up the PNR on the airline's website yourself |
| Wait after paying | Whatever the agent quotes | Typically 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed |
A local agent works well when
- You would rather someone else typed in the details
- You can only pay in cash
- You already use an agent you trust
It falls short when
- You need the document outside the agent's opening hours
- The nearest agent is a long trip away
- The agent will not give you the PNR and airline, so you cannot check the booking
What changes by city: your visa application centre
Your visa centre or consulate depends on where you live; your reservation does not. Some countries tie you to the office that covers your state. Italy's embassy in New Delhi states: "Legal residence in the relevant consular jurisdiction is required in order to apply for a visa." Its list puts Kerala under the Consulate General in Mumbai, so a Kochi resident applying for Italy comes under Mumbai, not Bengaluru, even though Bengaluru is closer.
Other countries do not mind which state you live in. The German missions in India accept Schengen applications at any VFS centre in the country. A US visa interview takes place at the Embassy in New Delhi or a Consulate General in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad or Kolkata, as the US visa appointment service lists. For a UK visa, GOV.UK's find a visa application centre page links India to VFS Global. What a visa centre does, and what it does not explains the operators' role.
The full picture, operator by operator and state by state, is in our dummy ticket India guide. Use it to plan the journey to your appointment. It makes no difference to where or how you order the reservation.
How to order from anywhere in India
The order takes four steps on your phone, with no app, no account and no passport scan.
Fill in the form
Enter each traveller's name exactly as printed in the passport, with date of birth, nationality, route and travel dates. The form also asks for your email address and phone number, whether you want the PDF by email or WhatsApp, and the date you want to receive it.
Pay
In India, scan the UPI QR code in any UPI app and pay ₹699 per passenger. Outside India, the same order is charged in US dollars, about US$8.50 per passenger, through PayPal or a card.
Send the UPI screenshot on WhatsApp
After a UPI payment, send the screenshot with your order ID so the booking desk can match it to your order and make the reservation.
Receive the PDF and check the PNR
The itinerary typically arrives 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed, on the date you chose. Look up the PNR on the airline's website before it goes into your visa file.
How an order works goes through each step in more detail, and the price page covers hotels, multi-city routes and family orders.
Asked for an onward ticket at the airport
If you searched from a check-in queue, the same answer applies: there is nowhere to walk to, and the order happens on your phone. Delivery is typically 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed, not instant, so ordering at the counter is a gamble when check-in is about to close.
Whether the airline takes a reservation is its own decision. Check-in staff look up entry rules in IATA's Timatic database, and some destinations and airlines ask for a ticket that is paid or confirmed, which a held reservation does not meet. Our proof of onward travel guide explains who checks and what they ask for, and the urgent dummy ticket page covers ordering against the clock.
Check the PNR, whoever made the reservation
Look up the PNR on the airline's own "Manage booking" page before the reservation goes into your file, whether an agent printed it for you or DTV sent it as a PDF. A live reservation shows your name and flights there. How long the hold stays live depends on the airline, so check again close to your appointment.
Some sellers hand over a PDF with an invented reference and no booking behind it. Why a generated dummy ticket fails shows how to spot one, and how to verify a PNR shows what to enter and what should appear.
Before you order: a short checklist
- You know which visa centre or consulate takes your file, and whether that depends on your state
- The route starts from the airport you would really fly from, which need not be in your own city
- The delivery date is the day before your appointment, not the day you order (see when to book a dummy ticket)
- Every name is typed exactly as it appears in the passport
- If anyone asks, you describe the document as a flight reservation, not a ticket
When those are settled, place your order from wherever you are.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a dummy ticket near me in India?
Not from a shop or a counter. Dummy Tickets Visa has no office in any city and no desk at any visa centre, so the answer is the same in a metro or a small town: fill in the form on your phone, pay, and the PDF reaches you by WhatsApp or email, typically 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed. Where you live changes nothing about the reservation.
Is ordering online better than going to a local travel agent?
It depends on what you need. An agent suits you if you want someone else to fill in the details or you want to pay in cash. Online, the price is fixed at ₹699 per passenger and the form is open at any hour, though delivery can take longer late at night, at weekends and on holidays. Either way, check the PNR yourself before you submit it.
Can I pay in cash?
No. In India you pay by scanning a UPI QR code in any UPI app and then send the payment screenshot on WhatsApp. Outside India the order is charged in US dollars through PayPal or a debit or credit card. If cash is the only way you can pay, a local travel agent is the option; ask for the PNR and check it on the airline's website.
My city has no international airport. Which city should the reservation start from?
Put the airport you would really fly from, which need not be in your own city. The reservation should match the route and dates on your visa form, cover letter and travel insurance, so use the same departure airport in all of them. Where you place the order from makes no difference to the reservation itself.
Does a reservation ordered online have a PNR I can check?
Yes. It is a reservation made in the airline's own system, with a PNR you can look up on the airline's "Manage booking" page while the hold is live. How long the hold lasts depends on the airline. Our guide to verifying a PNR shows what to enter and what should appear.
Can I order at the airport if check-in asks for an onward ticket?
You can, but do not count on it. Delivery is typically 10–20 minutes after payment is confirmed, not instant, and can take longer at night. Some airlines and destinations ask for a paid or confirmed onward ticket, which a reservation does not meet. If check-in is closing, ask the airline what it will accept. Airline asking for a return ticket sets out the options.
